A Halloween Order

I know you have seen enough of these skirts, but a friend wanted a Halloween skirt that is worth posting about. I have never made a skirt this small. It is for a 3 month old. I think the orange ball trim is a fun change. The skirt is so cute and festive. I also tried a few new ideas out on the shirt. Putting felt behind the applique and adding fun brads before sewing the pumpkin to the shirt! This baby girl will be dressed to the hilt!

Flower Flip flops

Making these satin flowers are very simple. I have been asked to teach on how to make them for our Super Saturday activity at church. I have been thinking of other ways to wear these flowers other than your hair. I was in a children's boutique and saw them on flip flops. Once again I thought, "I can make that!" You can also wear these flowers as a pin on your shirt, or pin them on a long pearl necklace! Here is a tutorial on how to make these cute flowers:

One smart cookie

I was shopping at Nordstroms a few weeks ago and saw an embellished t-shirt for 28$ that looked like this:

Like many of you, I thought, I can make that! So instead I bought a
t-shirt for 10$ and headed to Jo-Annes with my 40% off coupon and bought some beaded lace. LOVE! I can't wait to wear it. Am I one smart cookie or what?

Little angels

My dear friend has picked up the hobby of photography and offered to take some pictures of the kids. Oquirrh Lake is so perfect for just that. The lake reminds me of the beach, I love it. I thought the pictures turned out so good, I love how she caught them just being kids. Here are some of my favorites:

Madison's in Kindergarten!

Madison was so ready and excited for her turn to be in Kindergarten. I was excited for her as well. It is so fun to see your children grow and face their new challenges. Waiting for the bus with big brother.
She was so excited to ride the bus. I let her ride with McKay, then we met her at the school.

Cowabunga Bay

For the last year Madison and McKay have been earning pennies to put in jars. They earn pennies for kindness and good deeds(Thanks Melanie). Cowabunga Bay is what they were earning the pennies for, a water park that they have been wanting to try out. They finally reached their goal, so off we went for one last summer hurrah before school starts. It was like Christmas morning when we arrived. McKay, " This is the best day of my life!"
You have to climb many stairs to get to all the slides. The kids really wore themselves out.

I have always wanted.....

a little girl with an A-Line Bob! I think it is so precious on girls. Chris of course wanted Madison's hair to be long. So we let it be long for a couple years and in the past 6 months I have been trying to get Madison to cut it. Well, to my surprise she asked for her hair to be cut while we were at Fantastic Sams waiting for McKay to get his cut. "Really? You want it short? Like Brooklyn's?", I said. She really did, so off her hair came! I love it and she does too! Best 10 bucks I've ever spent!
