Don't you wish....

you could slip into these? I saw these featured on Good Things Utah by The Quilted Fish. I thought that making these slippers would be a fun challenge and something different to sew. I called the store right up and ordered my pattern. I was pleasantly surprised by how simple they were to make. They are really comfy too! Now I can walk around the house with cute, warm feet!

Eastlake Skate Night

Eastlake Elementary was invited for a free night of skating! How could we not take advantage of that? Students were allowed to bring their razors. This was a night filled with lots of fun. I even got in on the action. It brought back memories of when I used to go to skate nights in elementary school. There's something about freely skating to some loud, fun music. After a couple hours of taking these pictures, the rink was packed. It was a blast!

Trent was so cute going around the rink on his spider man scooter. He loved it.
Some of our friends. Awwww.

More birthdays?

I'm sorry to bore you with more birthdays pictures. January is birthday month for us. McKay's is on the 13th, and Madison's is on the 14th. They are 2 years and 1 day apart. I really struggle with their birthdays, they were just showered with gifts for Christmas!! Seriously? How many presents does a kid need? Even though we just celebrated Christmas, I try to make their birthdays special. Every other year we do a party, so no parties this year.
I would have loved to make them really cute birthday cakes, but I was not motivated this year.

Madison giving a morning BYU cheerleader birthday shout out!( As you can tell by her face, she was a little scared.)
McKay was very kind to share his school birthday crown with Madison.
I invited her twin friends over right after tumbling to watch her open her gifts.

Soldier Hollow

I can't believe that we have lived here for 9 years and have never been to Soldier Hollow. It was a blast! I was really nervous that it would be frigid cold, but the weather was not bad at all! My dad was able to come with us while mom stayed home with Trenton. For those who have never been, there is a cable that you hook your leash to that pulls you up the hill.
Grandpa the robber and McKay
I thought Madison looked so cute in all of her snow gear. A little snow bunny. The handsome hubby being towed up the hill. (We tried to get a picture of us coming down the hill but it did not turn out.)
